The flashy girl from Flushing, the nanny named Fran!

5 Sep

I recently ordered a book from bn.com because I had a discount code.  I was super excited to receive my very own copy of The Hunger Games because, even though I have no idea what it’s about, it’s very popular and I want to know what all the fuss is about.  Turns out I was also eligible for fast and free shipping, which in my understanding means one to three business days.  That was seven business days, ten regular days ago.  So where in the world has my book been?

In case my ridiculously tiny, self-edited image of the tracking page is too small for you to read, I will translate:  My book was in town but then they “missent” it…. to Oakland Gardens, NY (near Brooklyn, I had to look it up) then on to Flushing!  When I hear “Flushing” the theme song from the Nanny automatically gets stuck in my head – so I’ve been singing that to myself for the past few days.

I’m hoping this thing arrives Tuesday.  If not I’m going to have to call Barnes and Noble and tell them they suck.  Express shipping should not take a week and a half.  And I want to read my book!
